DevOps Revolution

By Simply reading the word 'DevOps' you can see the combination of two words, development and operations. Here's a short video that explains what exactly DevOps is.
What is DevOps? - In Simple English

DevOps is a set of tools and practices that help system developers to work better together in a shared responsibility matter. Instead of using traditional software development processes, organizations can provide a faster service for customers through the use of DevOps models. The software tools and services include the use of technology to help teams develop and operate applications quickly and in a reliable way. These tools also assist system engineers with deploying codes without having to require assistance from other teams.

The other way of adapting a DevOps model is through cultural philosophy. This means that two teams with different backgrounds work together to improve the efficiency of developers and the reliability of operations. With DevOps, collaboration is improved and teams are able to be more effective in combining their workflows. Also, teams set powerful cultural standards which speeds the communication process across the all parts of the organization.

DevOps Research & Assessment - DORA
To better evaluate an organization's performance in terms of IT developments, a DORA assessment can be conducted. The DevOps Research and Assessment provides a baseline for organizations who face problems related to technology and organizational performance, prioritizing enhancement effort, and maintaining talent. The assessment consist of a 15-20 minutes survey that evaluates how well the performance of an organization is and see where it lacks performance efforts. Moreover, the assessment provides a comparison of an organization against others who took the survey, and against the industry itself.
