Cloud Computing

We all show such interest in clouding computing today because of its agility: the ability to apply abstracted computer, storage, and network resources to workloads as needed and tap into an abundance of pre-built services. Cloud computing is a big change after big transformation from large-scale computers to client side - server's in 1980s and we have to admit cloud computing also changes the society dramatically. In addition, I want to emphasize that clouds are more secure that traditional IT system.

IaaS (infrastructure as a service): IaaS public cloud providers offer storage and compute services on a pay-per-use basis.

SaaS (software as a service): This type of public cloud computing delivers applications over the internet through the browser.

PaaS (platform as a service): PaaS provides sets of services and workflows that specifically target developers, who can use shared tools, processes, and APIs to accelerate the development, test, and deployment of applications.

There’re three leading Cloud companies. They are Amazon: AWS, Microsoft: Azure and Google Cloud Platform: Google Cloud which are pioneers in IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, cloud-based data and other key emerging enterprise technologies. However, it doesn’t mean they will stay that way. Instead, they are facing great challenges and are supposed to be ready for new competition.

Look at the video below which talks about clouding computing and healthcare.

Here are some questions:

1. Why is cloud computing so important?

2. Why are certain industries reluctant to use it?

3.  What do you think are the biggest challenges for cloud providers?

  2. Are there any links you can provide to cloud computing that are related to the topic you discussed besides the video?

    1. Absolutely. Here's the link which talks about 3 things you should know about cloud computing and also a video shows that how the cloud can save people from a heart attack. Hope this will help.
